Re : Pulse generators

 Previously : 2 types of pulse generators

well ... i re-designed the low power one (( i always re-design things from scratch to see where such ends up )) and it "minimized" to the prev. -- still a design relic invoked a new variant (( i "switched" the design in between the transistor and the op-amp/comparator based and mixed . . . so just wanted to test out the NPN only variant . . . ))

Note : both , but especially the right , are not too well tuned/biased (( i tested the pricipal/general functionality ))

+ a Linear Sawtooth with power stage (another same polarity transistors only circuit)

the 2-nd compile of the "Low Power Pulse Generator"

trivial warm-up test

a high power (an inefficient pulse generator)

a low power (an efficient pulse generator)

. . . optimizing for wider range of R4

. . . optimizing for component count

E - efficient pulse generator revised

extends:: http://chpsndtch.blogspot.com.ee/2015/10/inverter-test-concept-types-of-pulse.html

about 8ns transition (it can be reduced to 1ns - loosing it's energy efficiency) -- the osc./gen. only - the basic concept ::

59.6ns pulse @ 45kHz ::

►a theoretical concept how to narrow the CMOS gate pulse (here to 32ns width ~ Zero credit for real implementation to responce so) ::

update 2016.06.05 with faster inverter model ::

Common-Emitter versus Op-Amp (prev. follow up)

>>> it's the common head ace with Lo-Pwr signal source - not to kill the signal / - stop the oscillator

CE is more susceptible to supply & Op.-Pnt drift in noisy env. ::

Opa. is all fun to get going (fast, in phase) . . . -- do the right thing ::
